This book has fabulous pictures and some very good close-up shots of some of the American Folk Art Museum's collection but it left me dissatisfied. Perhaps because I am a quiltmaker, I wanted more information. Sure, most of the makers of the quilts are anonymous (Anonymous thy name is Woman) but there are no dimensions given, no fabric content given, no commentary on how good the quilting is which are all pieces of information that quiltmakers treasure and look for. I own Ms. Warren's previous volume from nearly twenty years ago and it is more satisfying. Still, since the museum rarely shows more than one or two pieces from its collection the book is a valuable addition to a quilter's library but sadly deficient in many ways.
